Georgia Geothermal, LLC.

Georgia Geothermal is one of the nation’s most successful geothermal loop installers. Since 1992, we have completed more than 1,000 successful commercial and residential loop systems. Georgia Tech has Georgia Geo loops installed, and now the Department of Energy showcases this project as a geothermal efficiency case study. Georgia Geo uses the latest design and installation techniques to install the highest quality engineered installation of loops to insure optimal performance at reasonable cost.   Georgia Geo is one of only a few geothermal loop design and installation companies to install a complete residential development utilizing geothermal technology.

Georgia Geo has experience with all facets of geothermal installation methods including, horizontal, vertical and lake loops. Georgia Geo is the only loop installation company to offer a 25 year warranty on loop performance. Georgia Geo installed loops to meet ALL equipment manufacturer specifications.

Georgia Geo is one of few companies that has invested in directional boring technology. This technology provides maximum loop efficiency and minimizes ground disturbance. This system allows maximum flexibility in commercial and residential installations. No trenching or open pits are required for horizontal loop installations. This means that landscaping, driveways and house foundations will not be disturbed. This technology is a great benefit to customers. Georgia Geo also uses   state-of-the-art vertical rigs -- the only Schramm-designed geothermal drill rigs in the industry.

Georgia Geothermal has a complete staff to provide residential, commercial and industrial geothermal consulting. HVAC load and specification consulting services are provided for engineering and architectural requirements. Georgia Geothermal offers toll-free sales and technical support. Georgia Geothermal has been providing geothermal systems since 1992 and has excellent financial strength. Our management expertise in geothermal energy ranks among the leaders in the industry.

Georgia Geothermal collaborates with mechanical engineering firms to help develop these key areas:

• Building Analysis (Building Block Loads);

• Feasibility Study;

• Thermal Conductivity Test (to determine the thermal load capability of the subsurface soil,     to properly "size" the loop to the system for maximum performance);

• Furnish professional engineered licensed construction documents;

• Review of contractor’s submittals;

• Critical inspections;

• Commissioning of the system.

Installation Team

Jack Pezold, Owner has committed resources to the development and application of geo technology. His vision for cost effective environmentally friendly heating and cooling systems led him to enter the geothermal industry. Since his acquisition of Georgia Geothermal, LLC he has grown it to one of the nation’s largest and most successful geothermal loop installation organizations.

Charles Davis, Founder and Director of Commercial Sales, has installed thousands of tons of geothermal ground loops and is IGSHPA, TETCO, ClimateMaster and WaterFurnace trained. He also holds ACCA certification in duct design and installation. He will act as principal project manager for this job.

Bard Phillips, PE, Senior Project Manager, has designed and installed more than 1,000 geothermal systems. Bard was the Project Manager for the 4,500 ton residential retrofit at Little Rock Air Force Base. This project did retrofit more than 1,500 residential housing units on Little Rock Air Force Base. Bard is IGSHPA, Water Furnace and ClimateMaster trained. Bard is a professional engineer and has designed and installed residential and commercial geothermal systems for more than 10 years. He is ACCA certified in duct design and installation.

Hugh Dixon is field services supervisor for Directional Drilling. He coordinates directional drilling for the residential and commercial markets and is ClimateMaster and TETCO trained. He has installed more than 250 geo systems.

Josh Meatyard has more than 10 years of drilling experience. He directs the vertical geothermal drilling and has installed mud rotary and air hammer geothermal loop fields. Josh is a licensed well driller. He has received Federal Safety and National Ground Water certification.

Field Installers

Jimmy Billings, ClimateMaster trained

Edward Martin, ClimateMaster trained

Administrative Support

Sandra Pollock is the office and governmental compliance officer. She coordinates the office management and completes documents required for federal and state contract compliance.

All field installers have been ClimateMaster trained and have received federally mandated safety training by a registered safety company. This certification allows our employees to work on any federal facility. The training includes job site safety, environmental safety, water and waste disposal, and monitoring. All field installation teams participate in periodic training programs to ensure high quality geothermal installations.

The installation crew will come from our highly trained and experience team. Unlike most companies who attempt to satisfy a customer's request for geo installation, we ONLY install loops.  We do not sell equipment, nor do we work on air systems.  We support any reputable manufacturers product to insure its optimum performance.  We work closely with the HVAC or mechanical contractor to insure customer satisfaction.

Ground Loop Installation

All ground loops and header materials will be SDR 11 virgin polyethylene resin products furnished by the following manufacturers:

Phillips - Drisco pipe

Vanguard - piping

Plexco-Chevron pipe

All fusions are made in accordance with IGSHPA standards. These are heat fusion/welding of the butt or socket methods. All field installation teams are fusion certified.

Grouting is performed utilizing a geo-loop high-volume surge grout pump. This system provides grouting volume exceeding 50 gallons per minute. Grout is introduced into the bore holes by a 200 PSI fiber poly grout hose.

Drilling is performed by 1998-year model Schramm T450W; designed for up to 1,000 feet per day. This rig is designed specifically for Georgia Geothermal, to meet our special needs.
